Black Parents Movement: Exhibition
Black Parents Movement: Exhibition

Join us in the Linbury Room at Dulwich Picture Gallery, on October 5th & 6th, for a powerful exhibition honouring the Black Parents Movement (BPM)- a pivotal force in Britain’s history, advocating for the rights and interests of the black community.
Through compelling imagery and evocative narratives, witness the resilience and activism of black parents, primarily of Caribbean and African descent, from the 1970s to the mid-1980s as they fought against inequalities in education, housing, and employment.
This exhibition not only memorialises their struggles but also celebrates their triumphs in shaping a more just society.
Come and immerse yourself in a monumental chapter of our collective history, and be inspired by the legacy of those who dared to stand up for change.
