The Salmon Youth Centre

Salmon Youth Centre has been reaching out to young people in inner city London for over a hundred years. We inspire young people to reach their potential and contribute positively to the community in which they live.

We welcome around 500 young people every week. Our doors are open to all young people, from all backgrounds, between six and 25 years old.

We promote positive change in young people and support their transition to adulthood in three key ways:

What we offer

We provide open access and specialised youth work to young people across 35 weekly sessions, including activities such as adventure, arts, dance, drama, music and sports. We provide hot nutritious meals after school from Monday-Thursday with home work support as well as access to our counselling mental health support. Our targeted provision also includes:

Apprenticeship Scheme: offering young people the opportunity to study and work over nine to twelve months.

Mentoring: one-to-one support for young people, including our disability befriending schemes.

Mixables  youth work with disabled young people aged 12-19.
