RISE Youth Empowerment Programme @ Cambridge House

As an independent charity, Cambridge House is committed to promoting change that can improve the quality of life and wellbeing of people who are affected by the systemic poverty, social injustice and inequality in our society.

RISE is an award-winning youth empowerment project at Cambridge House that offers year-long support through weekly one-to-one mentoring, specialist support, and group workshops to 16 to 24-year-olds experiencing social isolation and/or mental health or emotional challenges in Southwark and surrounding areas.

The empowerment programme includes:

  • crisis navigation
  • 1:1 mentoring
  • trips and events
  • specialist workshops (mental health, conflict resolution, sexual health, substance awareness, financial literacy, employment and presentation skills)
  • wellbeing support
  • trips and events
  • a graduation event

In 2023 we got funding through a Propel grant of the Mayor of London to expand the RISE programme.
