Construction Youth Trust is a charity whose aim is to inspire and enable young people to overcome barriers and discover a career in the construction and built environment sector.
 

Fire Cadets is a free programme for 14 to 17 year olds, providing young people with the opportunity to develop transferrable skills such as Team work and communication, through the Fire Brigade.

The New Venture Youth Centre is in the Peckham area, with many fun activities to take part in: basketball, football and table tennis, PS4 gaming, creative arts and more. Access and all activities are free of charge.

Sculpt is an international NGO that’s been working to empower young people to forge a fairer society for over 20 years. Our work is guided and evaluated by young people themselves. (Until 2021, we were known as IARS).

Southwark Works is a free employment support service for anyone living within the London borough of Southwark.

We show people there is a way to build a better future – for themselves and those they care about – and help them create this through support, advice and training. We raise awareness of their situation and fight their corner to ensure long term changes are put in place.

Pathways to Apprenticeships

Funded by the Southwark council, in April 2022 the Southwark Pre-Apprenticeships programme was launched, which supports individuals aged 16 or over who live in the London Borough of Southwark to progress in their careers by securing an appren
